当心公共电脑的安全性

2014/12/04

Earlier this year I have to work overtime at home on the weekends, but my computer is not normal, so I had to go to the local library to use their computers. When I sat in front of a computer, I noticed a user does not quit before his Yahoo! e-mail account, I could see what the other person’s inbox! Because of this incident, I am feeling how careless these people, on their own e-mail account and access to their own computers in public areas. I have noticed this problem in various public occasions, people use computers included in hotels, coffee shops and libraries. I even saw some people leave their laptops at the mall unprepared.

In July, the US Security Agency warned that the hotel should be checked to make them available to the guest computer in a public area, whether there is the use of keyloggers capture user input. They say, “This is a belief rapid access to public computers.”

Texas hotels counterfeit credit cards in a survey, they found the murderer at the hotel for use on public computers installed keyloggers, which gives hackers a lot of information about the guests, including login credentials, email account personal information and other sensitive information.

Dealing with public computers like home computer while ignoring the hacker threat may lead to a series of errors caused by the disaster. Even without the hotel in the case, as a way of penetration, public computer or home computer are victims object. Computer via e-mail attachments, web pages and other infections, however, is a liar public computer attractive target because a successful infection can make a lot of users suffer.

Thoughts on safety:

1: To know that you are using a public computer is likely to be invaded

2: When forwarding an e-mail via a public computer, using a disposable e-mail accounts, such as mailinator or Trashmail they have a very short life cycle, there is a specific time frame

3: file download, select the link to share option and send the link to a disposable e-mail addresses, so you can access the files from links

The bottom line is do not use personal login data in public computer you use.
